Utility Project Manager
A self-performing contractor in the Columbia, SC area is hiring a Utility Project Manager to lead water and sewer infrastructure projects. This is a split field and office role managing 4-5 active projects simultaneously, with a stable backlog and real growth potential.
What You Will Run
- Water and sewer utility projects, including underground utility installations and pump stations
- 4-5 active projects at a time, depending on project scope and size
- Daily coordination between field crews, subcontractors, and office staff
- Project schedules, budgets, and cost controls to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
- Client communication and project meetings, with increasing client-facing responsibility as you build trust
- Plan and specification reviews, compliance with safety and quality standards
- Project closeout documentation and final reporting
What It Takes
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on water and sewer utility projects
- Strong understanding of water/sewer line work and pump stations
- Background in grading or site development preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Comfortable working in both field and office environments
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Compensation
$85,000 to $95,000 per year.
