Our client, a self-performing heavy highway and site development contractor, is hiring estimators across their Florida offices in Tampa, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale. If you can read plans, talk numbers with confidence, and actually enjoy the people you work with, this is worth a conversation.
What you will run
You will estimate projects ranging from $100 million-plus highway work to site development. Your day includes takeoffs, cost analysis, bid strategy, and client communication. You will work in HCSS, Agtek, and Bluebeam. The team values accuracy, speed, and the ability to think like a builder, not just a calculator.
What it takes
- Senior role: 10+ years of estimating experience, preferably heavy highway or FDOT work
- Junior role: 3+ years of estimating experience; willingness to learn and grow
- Proficiency or willingness to learn HCSS, Agtek, and Bluebeam
- Ability to work with a laid-back, personality-driven team that actually likes each other
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
The environment

Compensation and benefits
Senior estimators: $150,000 to $170,000 per year. Junior estimators: $100,000 to $125,000 per year, depending on experience.
