Project Manager

A self-performing heavy civil contractor in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is hiring a Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from mobilization through closeout. This is a hands-on leadership role managing schedules, budgets, teams, and client relationships on public and private sector work. If you have 3-5 years of PM experience in general contracting, excavation, paving, or utilities, this is a solid opportunity to grow with a stable, established firm.

What You Will Run

• Full project oversight from contract review through final closeout, working directly with Project Engineers, Superintendents, Estimators, and support staff.
• Schedule development, long-term planning, and on-site execution monitoring to keep work on time and on budget.
• Contract negotiation and management with architects, consultants, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Budget estimates, progress reporting, and cost tracking across all project phases.
• Safety management and risk mitigation to maintain compliance and prevent incidents.
• Coordination across all business units and open communication with stakeholders at every level.

What It Takes

• BS degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3-5+ years as a Project Manager in heavy civil, commercial, excavation, paving, or utilities work.
• Hands-on knowledge of P6, Heavy Job, Blue Beam, and CAD software.
• Strong ability to work in teams, communicate clearly, and supervise effectively.
• Experience managing government clients and public sector projects preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: 105,000 to 145,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
