A self-performing contractor in the Greensboro area is hiring a Pipe Foreman to lead a crew on active piping and site projects. This is a full-time role where you’ll own the schedule, safety, quality, and people. If you’ve got 3-5 years of piping experience and can manage a crew while staying hands-on, this is worth a conversation.
What You Will Run
- Direct supervision of a piping crew, including training, safety oversight, and performance management
- Project scheduling, layout, and on-time completion to spec
- Daily safety compliance, OSHA and EPA adherence, and incident reporting
- Equipment inspections and maintenance requests
- Crew timesheets, paperwork, and documentation
- Site housekeeping and crew accountability
- Coordination with general contractors, engineers, inspectors, and clients
- Heavy equipment operation (front end loader, dozer, excavator) and grading/seeding work
What It Takes
- 3 to 5 years of piping installation and construction experience
- Proven ability to operate heavy equipment and manage site grading
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current North Carolina driver’s license, required
- OSHA 10 hour, trenching safety, confined space, and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred
- Ability to read plans, stakes, and technical drawings
- Strong communication skills with crew, clients, and site personnel
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Capable of lifting 70 pounds and climbing in and out of excavations up to 20 feet
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
The Work Environment
You’ll be outdoors on active construction sites, exposed to changing weather, dust, noise, and heavy equipment. The work is physical and demanding. You’ll be standing, bending, stooping, and climbing regularly. Travel may be required.
