Safety Manager – Augusta, Georgia
A self-performing heavy civil and specialty construction contractor is hiring a Safety Manager to lead safety operations across multiple active projects in the Augusta area. This is a field-heavy role with real autonomy, managing crews, subs, and complex safety protocols on sites that include crane work and specialized trades. You’ll report directly to senior leadership and own safety culture on your projects.
What You Will Run
- Manage safety compliance and documentation across up to 4 concurrent projects
- Oversee crew safety, subcontractor coordination, and daily site safety protocols
- Work with project supervisors and equipment operators, including crane operations
- Conduct safety training and education for crews across multiple trades
- Maintain OSHA compliance and manage incident documentation
- Spend 80-90% of your time in the field, 10-20% in the office
What It Takes
- 5-8 years of hands-on safety management experience in heavy civil or specialty construction
- OSHA 30, OSHA 510, and OSHA 500 certifications required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and iPad-based field documentation systems
- Ability to manage multiple project scopes and work flexibly across different trades
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety preferred
- CHST certification preferred
- Bilingual skills a plus
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region
Comp and Benefits
- 90,000 to 100,000 per year

The Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Rain-outs may result in Saturday work to maintain project timelines.
