We’re recruiting a Project Manager for a significant federal construction project in Bossier City, Louisiana. Our client, a self-performing contractor, is executing a major renovation and addition to an airplane hangar at a military installation. This is a leadership role managing concrete, structural steel, pre-engineered metal building, and earthwork scopes on a high-visibility project.
What you will run
You will manage day-to-day project operations as a subcontractor to the prime, overseeing multiple trades and work packages. Your responsibilities include scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, safety compliance, and coordination with the prime contractor and federal stakeholders. You will track concrete foundations, structural steel installation, pre-engineered metal building assembly, and earthwork execution from mobilization through substantial completion.
What it takes
- Prior experience on federal construction projects, preferably military or government work
- Proven ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors simultaneously
- Strong understanding of heavy civil and structural construction methods
- Excellent communication skills with prime contractors, owners, and federal inspectors
- Ability to read plans, manage schedules, and control budgets in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to be on-site regularly
Compensation
This role offers a competitive salary of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, based on experience and federal project background.
