Amundson Group
Project Manager, Heavy Civil Infrastructure
Our client, a self-performing heavy civil contractor, is hiring a Project Manager to lead roadway and infrastructure projects across Texas. You will own projects ranging from $8M to $50M+, working directly with owners, internal leadership, and diverse field teams. This is a client-facing role that demands both construction chops and polish.
What you will run
- End-to-end project management on heavy civil work: roadway construction, sitework, utilities, earthwork, and infrastructure.
- Coordination between field operations, subcontractors, and Spanish-speaking crews.
- Regular interaction with owners, clients, and senior leadership. You will present progress, manage expectations, and solve problems in real time.
- Projects primarily in the TxDOT space, with strong familiarity expected.
What it takes
- Solid background in heavy civil construction. TxDOT experience is highly preferred.
- A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field. We favor educated candidates over field-promoted PMs.
- Proven track record managing projects in the $8M to $50M range.
- Strong communication and presentation skills. You need to be articulate and professional in front of clients and executives.
- Comfort working with diverse teams, including Spanish-speaking field crews. Bilingual is a plus but not required.
- Corporate-minded personality. You represent the company to clients and owners.
Compensation
$125,000 to $135,000 annually, based on experience and background.
If you have the heavy civil chops, TxDOT experience, and the client-facing presence this role demands, reach out to Amundson Group. We are a veteran-owned construction recruiting firm, and we work only with quality contractors.
