Primavera P6 Scheduler
A self-performing heavy civil contractor in Austin is building out a dedicated scheduling function. They’ve grown their TxDOT work and need a strategic Scheduler who can own project timelines, identify schedule impacts, and work hand-in-hand with Project Managers and Operations to improve execution and uncover recovery opportunities.
What you will run
- Build and maintain Primavera P6 schedules for heavy civil projects, with emphasis on TxDOT work
- Develop logic, critical path analysis, and sequencing that reflects real construction constraints and equipment flow
- Analyze schedule impacts, delays, and change order opportunities in partnership with PMs
- Challenge project teams on planning and sequencing to improve execution and reduce risk
- Work with Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) environments where applicable
- Communicate schedule status, risks, and recovery strategies to leadership and field teams
What it takes
- Minimum 5+ years of Primavera P6 scheduling in heavy civil construction
- Deep understanding of TxDOT project requirements and scheduling standards
- Hands-on knowledge of equipment, manpower, and construction sequencing from a practical standpoint
- Experience with schedule analysis, logic development, and critical path management
- Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC/OCP) experience is a strong plus
- Ability to think in 3D construction perspective, not just spreadsheets
- Strong interpersonal skills. You need to work closely with PMs and Operations teams, challenge thinking when needed, and communicate clearly
- Understanding of change orders, owner-driven delays, and how schedule impacts translate to claims and recovery
Compensation
$135,000 annually.
