## Superintendent, Heavy Civil and Municipal Infrastructure

Our client, a self-performing heavy civil contractor based in North Carolina, is hiring a Superintendent to run multiple projects across Eastern and Central NC. If you’ve built your career in underground utilities, site development, and municipal infrastructure work, and you want real autonomy with direct access to leadership, this is worth a conversation.

## What You Will Run

You will oversee 2 to 4 projects simultaneously, managing a combined portfolio of approximately $7M to $15M in active work. Your projects will include waterline installations, storm drainage systems, pump stations, and underground utility work across the Raleigh, Greenville, Durham, and Eastern North Carolina regions.

Day to day, you will:

- Manage field operations and schedule across multiple active sites
- Supervise company crews and coordinate subcontractors
- Own safety, quality, and project execution
- Work with HCSS HeavyJob, Topcon GPS, and Trimble GPS systems
- Report directly to ownership with minimal corporate overhead

## What It Takes

You need a solid background in heavy civil construction, site development, and underground utilities. You must have managed multiple projects at once and supervised both crews and subs. Experience with lift stations is a plus but not required, as the company has strong lift station crews in place.

The ideal candidate has progressed through field operations, understands municipal infrastructure work, and can run several jobs without constant oversight. You want long-term stability, prefer a lean family-oriented organization over corporate structure, and have a consistent work history. We will not consider candidates with excessive job hopping or those coming solely from vertical building backgrounds without substantial site development experience.

## Compensation and Benefits

- Base salary: $90,000 to $110,000, with a ceiling around $115,000
- Year-end performance bonus based on company and employee performance
- Company truck provided
- Annual review process focused on career development
