## Project Engineer

A self-performing contractor is staffing up for a major transmission pipeline project in Florida. If you have hands-on experience with large-diameter pipe installation and directional drilling, this is a high-visibility role where you will own real responsibility from day one.

## What you will run

You will support engineering and construction operations on a 26-mile transmission main project, with primary focus on an 8-mile segment of 60-inch pipe. Your background will span HDPE, ductile iron, and PVC (24-inch and larger), with proven directional drilling experience on transmission mains over 54 inches. You will work alongside the field team, coordinate with contractors, and ensure execution aligns with design and schedule.

## What it takes

- 2 to 4 years of direct pipe construction experience, preferably transmission or distribution systems
- Solid knowledge of HDPE, ductile iron, and PVC pipe installation methods
- Hands-on directional drilling experience required
- Ability to read plans, manage logistics, and communicate clearly with field crews
- Willingness to be on-site and engaged with the work
- Valid driver’s license

## Location

Hillsborough County, Florida, south of the I-4 and I-75 interchange. This is a field-based role with office support nearby.

## Compensation

Salary range for this level of experience is up to $80,000, depending on background and qualifications.
