## Estimator

Atlanta, GA

A self-performing heavy civil and transportation contractor is hiring an Estimator to lead cost analysis and bid preparation for complex projects across the Southeast. This role sits at the center of the pre-construction process, where accuracy, vendor relationships, and attention to detail directly impact profitability and win rates.

## What you will run

- Prepare preliminary cost estimates, budgets, and schedules from project specifications and proposals
- Conduct detailed quantity surveys and take-offs to support bid pricing
- Build and maintain subcontractor and vendor bid lists; solicit competitive pricing
- Distribute bid plans and manage the bidding process end to end
- Prepare pricing pages and ensure all bid documents are current and accurate
- Coordinate delivery of bids, proposals, and prequalifications to owners
- Manage WBE, DBE, SBE, and MBE goals during the bid process when required
- Lead detailed scope and price reviews with subcontractors prior to award
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure best pricing, delivery, and quality

## What it takes

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or 4+ years of hands-on experience in heavy civil or transportation construction
- Proficiency with estimating software, preferably HCSS or HeavyBid
- Strong command of Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines without losing accuracy
