## The Role

Our client, a self-performing civil construction contractor, is seeking an experienced Director of Field Operations to lead all field activities across their growing project portfolio in Mississippi. This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, where you will own the day-to-day execution of earthwork, utilities, grading, drainage, roadway, and site development projects.

## What You Will Run

- Direct and oversee all field operations across the company’s civil construction projects
- Lead, manage, and mentor project superintendents, assistant superintendents, foremen, equipment operators, and labor crews
- Own recruitment, hiring, promotion, performance management, discipline, and termination decisions for all field personnel
- Develop workforce planning strategies and coordinate manpower, equipment, and resources to meet project schedules
- Ensure strict compliance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company standards across all job sites
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and executive leadership to drive successful project delivery

## What It Takes

- Minimum 15 years of civil construction experience
- Minimum 7 years in a senior superintendent or operations leadership role
- Extensive hands-on experience in earthwork, utilities, grading, drainage, roadway construction, and site development
- Proven leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel simultaneously

## Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $140,000 to $160,000 per year

- Medical and optional insurance coverage with company contribution of $500 monthly toward premiums
- 401(k) with up to 5% company match
- 60 hours PTO first year, 80 hours accrual annually, with 40 hours carryover allowed
- Company truck provided with fuel and business credit card
- Performance-based bonus eligible, determined by project and corporate performance
