## Assistant Project Manager

A self-performing contractor specializing in water treatment and wastewater treatment plant construction is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for their Raleigh, NC office. This is a hands-on role managing multiple projects from budget through completion, working directly with owners, engineers, and subcontractors on complex infrastructure work.

## What you will run

You will provide direct management support across multiple projects, handling everything from schedule creation and budget development to change order preparation and vendor coordination. Your days will include reviewing labor reports, tracking submittals, expediting material procurement, processing invoices, and keeping projects on time and on budget. You will also own the engineering side: managing specifications, communicating scope changes with owners and engineers, obtaining certifications, and maintaining project files and drawings. This role requires someone who can juggle both the business and technical sides of construction.

## What it takes

- Minimum 5 years of water treatment and wastewater treatment plant project management experience
- Proven ability to manage projects with $5 million contract value
- 4-year engineering degree or equivalent
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software
- Valid, non-restrictive driver’s license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to apply innovative management techniques and develop team members
- Must pass drug test and be legally eligible to work in the US
