# Will a Construction Company Expect Me to Relocate Before They Extend an Offer?

It depends on the contractor, but location is one of the most common concerns hiring managers raise. In some cases, a company will extend an offer contingent on relocation rather than requiring you to move first, particularly when they are confident in your abilities. Your recruiter will surface this issue early so there are no surprises, and can help frame your willingness to relocate directly with the hiring manager.
