# What Benefits Do Senior Construction Superintendents Look for When Changing Jobs?

Senior superintendents consistently prioritize total compensation packages over base salary alone. Key benefits they look for include vehicle or truck allowance, strong medical and dental coverage, 401k, performance bonuses, and per diem for travel. Candidates coming from smaller contractors often cite the lack of structured benefits as their top reason for exploring larger general contractors.
