# Is the Construction Job Market Changing for Field Workers and Superintendents?

Yes, noticeably. Recruiters and active field candidates report that superintendents and foremen are demanding, and receiving, significantly higher compensation than even two to three years ago. In markets like Raleigh and Central Florida, experienced field leaders are citing salary floors well above prior norms, and companies that don't adjust risk losing tenured talent. Candidates are also factoring in company trucks, bonuses, and work-life balance alongside base pay when evaluating moves.
