# How Long Do I Have to Accept or Decline a Construction Job Offer?

In most cases, construction companies expect a decision within one to two business days of extending an offer. If you have other interviews in progress, being transparent with the company about your timeline is usually well-received, they may accommodate a short extension. Signing an offer while negotiating a later start date is also a common option. Waiting more than a week risks losing the offer to another candidate.
