# Do I Have to Match My Current Salary Exactly to Get an Offer, or Can I Take a Small Pay Cut for the Right Opportunity?

Many candidates are open to modest pay adjustments for the right company, culture, or career trajectory, and strong hiring managers understand that. In our experience, compensation flexibility paired with a compelling benefits package (health insurance, 401k, vehicle allowance) often makes a move worthwhile even if base pay is slightly lower. Your recruiter will help you evaluate the full package, not just the base number.
